Pete McSwain was raised in Albany, Ga and has lived in the Albany/Leesburg area the majority of his life. He is a 2010 graduate of Sherwood Christian Academy where he played football and basketball. He graduated from Georgia Southwestern University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He has been married to his wife Lauren since 2021 and they have one son, Collier.
Pete has been teaching math for 11 years and has held many coaching positions during that time. He has been a head coach at the middle school and junior varsity level and an assistant at the varsity level for several schools. During his time as an assistant coach he contributed to 5 Region Championships, 2 Final Four appearances and 1 State Championship. He has also participated in many clinics over the years and has worked several basketball camps including experience at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski. He brings a calm, measured approach to the sidelines and has a passion for the fundamentals and the mental side of the game while his background in math allows him to focus on the analytics.
